On November 26-27, the EDIH Network Summit 2024 gathered over 700 participants at The Egg in Brussels, including representatives from more than 200 European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) and the European Commission. This prestigious event served as a hub for discussions, success stories, and strategies aimed at advancing the EU’s digital and green transformation.

TEDIHT was proud to be represented by Bianca Muntean, Manager of Transilvania IT Cluster and Coordinator of TEDIHT, who was selected as one of the keynote speakers at the event.

Key Highlights from Bianca Muntean’s Speech
Bianca delivered an inspiring address, sharing TEDIHT’s journey from its inception to becoming a catalyst for digitalization and innovation in Romania’s North-West region. She reflected on the unique challenges and opportunities faced by the region, emphasizing the need to align local needs with European digital transformation priorities:

“We started planning TEDIHT when there was a roadmap, but no clear path. Our goal was ambitious: to align regional needs with European priorities for digital transformation. Today, we see the impact of that vision in digitalized businesses, innovative startups, and individuals who’ve become ambassadors of digital change.”

Bianca highlighted TEDIHT’s human-centric approach, focusing on empowering businesses, institutions, and individuals through digital transformation. She also emphasized the importance of EDIHs as public utility instruments, driving systemic change and shaping policies for inclusive digitalization.

A Call to Action
Bianca urged policymakers and stakeholders to continue supporting EDIHs, noting:
“Every beneficiary counts. Every systemic change starts with one individual, one organization, one region. We’ve come a long way, but we cannot afford to lose the momentum. Countries like Romania need us.”

The EDIH Network Summit: A Collaborative Platform
With over 700 participants, the summit provided a unique opportunity for collaboration among EDIHs, industry leaders, and policymakers. It reinforced the importance of fostering partnerships to ensure that Europe remains at the forefront of digital transformation.

TEDIHT is proud to be part of this growing ecosystem, driving digital innovation and contributing to Europe’s green and digital ambitions.
