The Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub (TDIH) project is funded through Call: DIGITAL-2021-EDIH-01 (European Digital Innovation Hubs), Topic: DIGITAL-2021-EDIH-INITIAL-01, Type of Action: DIGITAL-SIMPLE, Proposal number: 101083508, Type of Model Grant Agreement: DIGITAL Action Grant Budget-Based, with a budget of €2,522,948.00, and through the Intermediate Body for the Promotion of the Information Society, Call Code POCIDIF/1147/2/1/Action 2.4 Digitalization of SMEs through European Digital Innovation Hubs in Romania (EDIH), SMIS Code 322938, with a budget of 12,524,421.83 lei.
The general objective of the Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub is to provide a complete set of digital transformation and innovation services for SMEs and the public sector. The specialization and main services of TDIH are based on the use of AI, HPC, and Big Data technologies to support the green and digital transformation of beneficiaries with initiatives in the fields of Digital Health and Industry 4.0.
TDIH is coordinated by Transilvania IT Cluster, with implementation partners including Babeș-Bolyai University, the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, the National Institute for Research and Development in Isotopic and Molecular Technologies Cluj-Napoca, and Hygia Consult SRL through OLI Hygia.

Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub works strategically to catalyze regional innovation potential and capabilities. On the other hand, it acts as provider of competences, know-how, innovation programs, support for startups and SMEs.
With a vision to increase competitivity through an innovative mix between technologies, skills, systemic approach, operational models, it engages relevant regional stakeholders and proactively adapts to European and global trends.
What we do
Transilvania DIH sets the framework for digital transformation in all businesses and public sector through a cross-sectoral approach.
Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub is the first operational DIH in Romania, recognized in 2019 as “Fully Operational DIH” by the European Commission JRC and also a finalist in Digital Innovation Hub Champion Challenge 2019 in Madrid.
Good practice example
Transilvania DIH was presented as a good practice example in the report of recommendations published by European Group of Clusters Experts within the European Commission, for the strong partnership built within the DIH and for the cross-sectoral approach.
