THE Digital Innovation Hub in Transylvania is involved in a series of innovative and digital transformation projects that bring significant benefits to both the business community and society as a whole. We closely collaborate with companies, startups, universities, and other organizations to contribute to the enhancement of business performance and competitiveness, as well as the improvement of people’s quality of life.

  • EUHubs4Data

    EUHubs4Data is a reference federation in Europe for data driven cross-border experimentation and innovation.

    Thanks to EUHubs4Data, TEDIHT has connected to the European Big Data ecosystem and is working towards leveraging the data economy and European Data Spaces.

  • 2023: Cluj Innovation Year

    2023: Cluj Innovation Year is a multisectoral program with the sole purpose to support the sustainability and innovation development of the Romanian business ecosystem.

    The program will include workshops, training sessions, study visit, good practice sharing events, networking & matchmaking sessions, Innovation Camp, all dedicated to support Romanian companies in the fields of Digital Health, ICT and Industry 4.0 to increase their competitiveness, resilience and to extend into international markets.

  • ZeroW

    Climate change. Food insecurity. A fragile global food system. All of these challenges are exacerbated by food loss and waste.

    If we want to sustainably feed a growing global population, we must start by addressing food loss and waste – from farm to fork. That’s what the ZeroW project is all about.

  • BOWI

    Aims to transfer knowledge in the specific activities of the 10 DIHs in the project. In this project Transilvania DIH collaborates with the largest DIHs in the EU such as: TNO, VTT, RWTH and other DIHs in neighboring countries.

    This is a project that aims to create a structured approach to collaboration in Europe that supports the use of expertise from mature hubs to improve the long-term contribution of  new hubs, support new hubs in their evolutionary step towards maturity and explore a funding network for future widening collaboration.

  • DIH squared

    This project represent the largest pan-European network of Digital Innovation Hubs funded by the H2020 program and aims to support SMEs in Europe by providing robotics and automation solutions in manufacturing companies, providing them with services such as: “Test Before Invest ”, Funding opportunities, the development of an innovative ecosystem and courses / trainings for the acquisition of technical digitization skills.

  • Enterprise Europe Network

    Through the project we offer internationalization services and opportunities for partnerships, financing and cooperation to SMEs in the North-West region. This project covers the activity of internationalization and organization of networking events for SMEs.

  • Cluj Future of Work

    The purpose of the project is to create a working ecosystem for current and future jobs in the city with the design of a technologically, secure, ethical and sustainable future. The aim of the project is to develop strategic skills for business digitization, managerial and strategic skills for business owners and employees exposed to automation phenomena and the creation of new value chains for existing and emerging digitization-based industries.

  • Better Factory

    Better Factory provides a methodology for manufacturing SMEs to collaborate with artists to develop new and personalized products. At the same time, it supplies technology for SMEs to become cyber-physical systems, transforming them into Lean-agile production facilities capable of manufacturing new and personalized products along with existing ones.

  • Furniture Go International

    FGOI will create an European Strategic Cluster Partnership that will intensify cross-regional cluster cooperation in furniture and related industries, within EU and towards four third countries, namely USA, Canada, South Africa and Egypt. The Partnership will be a promoter of industrial and business growth, it will support the excellence, entrepreneurship, transferability, and mutual trust between clusters and the SMEs they represent.

  • INTRIDE

    Soft, Digital and Green Skills for Smart Designers: Designers as Innovative Triggers for SMEs in the manufacturing sector.
    INTRIDE is leading the creation of a strong link and continuous interaction among HEIs (Higher Education Institutions), industry and intermediaries by developing a joint curriculum of the designer with soft, digital and green skills conceived as innovation trigger in activating innovation processes and managing the collaboration eco-system.

Completed projects

  • 8xS3 = Intelligent Romania

    Three of the clusters active in the region of Transylvania, Transylvanian Furniture Cluster, Transylvania IT Cluster and Agro Transylvania Cluster, answered the desires expressed by the companies they represent by creating this project, as a platform on which they learn the process for elaboration of alternative public policies, whose aim is supporting the competitiveness and innovation of the economic environment in the country.

  • Partener StartUp

    Project for the development of the entrepreneurial competences and supporting the business initiatives in the North-West region of Romania, implemented by the Transylvanian Furniture Cluster, in partnership with CIVITTA, ARIES Transylvania, AgroTransylvania Cluster, Impact HUB Bucharest, University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Cluj-Napoca and the University in Oradea. It is aiming at supporting start-up entrepreneurs through courses, training, mentorship and grants.

  • Development of Transylvanian Furniture Cluster through research and innovation services

    The research project aimed at ensuring the sustainability of the cluster through development of management capacity of the research-development-innovation (RDI) projects, development of a new product (static-dynamic chair) at cluster level, as well as supply of support services for the internationalization of the TFC members.

  • Transylvanian Furniture Cluster – Innovative Cluster of European Interest

    Through this project the laboratories infrastructure of the cluster was created in partnership with cluster member companies. Additionally, the project has an internationalization component in order to increase the cluster visibility both at national and international level, accessing markets in Europe, Asia and Africa, as well as supporting the members for the purpose of entering in and developing relations specific to their activity in various target markets.
