Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub has become an I4MS contact point

Transilvania IT Cluster together with Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub are given as examples of good practice in the report of recommendations issued by the European Expert Group on Clusters of the European Commission.

Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub, orchestrated by Transilvania IT Cluster, has successfully passed the national selection organized by The Authority for the Digitalization of Romania. Thus, TDIH is among the DIHs in Romania that will have the opportunity to become members of the European Network of Digital Innovation Hubs – the EDIH Network

Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub is the first completely operational DIH in Romania, recognized in 2019 as “Fully Operational DIH” by the European Commission JRC. Also, TDIH was one of the 3 finalists in Digital Innovation Hub Champion Challenge 2019 in Madrid.

In 2018, the Transilvania IT cluster, together with other actors in the region, under the coordination of ADRNV, applied and was selected to participate in the European program „Smart Factories in new EU Member States” coordinated by the European Commission in cooperation with PwC and Oxentia.

At the end of 2018, the Digitalization Study was carried out, with the support of the Cluj-Napoca City Hall, which made an extremely useful analysis of the digitization supply and demand in the region.

Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub (T DIH) was established in 2017 at the initiative of the Transilvania IT Cluster and ARIES Transilvania, following discussions at the Open Innovation 2.0 Conference, organized by ARIES Transilvania, Transilvania IT, Cluj-Napoca City Hall and the European Commission in Cluj-Napoca. Also in 2017, through the FUTURIUM project, funded by the European Commission, T DIH was included in the JRC catalog.
