Technical University of Cluj-Napoca

The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, an “Advanced Research and Education University” as awarded with the Order of the Ministry of National Education no 5262/September 5th 2011, is today a tertiary educational institution having both tradition and national and international recognition.

The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca comprises twelve faculties in the two academic centres, Cluj-Napoca and Baia Mare, as well as in locations, such as Alba-Iulia, Bistrita, Satu Mare and Zalau. The educational offer, aligned to the Bologna system, includes bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs, as well as continuous training programs.

Claudia Păcurar

Professor

Claudia Păcurar earned her B.S., M.S., Ph.D. and Dr.habil. degrees in electrical engineering at Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in 2004, 2005, 2012 and 2022, respectively. She has more than 18 years of academic and research experience in electrical engineering domain.

Aurelia Ciupe

Lecturer

Lecturer at the Multimedia Systems and Applications Laboratory of UTCN with a PhD in Electronics, Telecommunications, and Information Technology. Specialized in research on technology-enabled educational solutions and immersive xR environments.

Ovidiu Stan

Associate Professor

Eng. Ovidiu Stan, PhD, is an Associate Professor within the Department of Automation and of Director of the Socio-Economic Relationship Department of the Technical University of Cluj Napoca. His research interests include dependability, cyber-physical-systems, e-health, information management via the Internet.

Mircea Giurgiu

Professor

Mircea Giurgiu is professor, PhD, with the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. He is PhD supervisor and coordinator or project partner in more than 15 national and EU-funded research grants in the areas of automatic speech recognition and text to speech synthesis.

Marius Purcar

Professor

Marius Purcar, (Member, IEEE and CIGRE), has more than 20 years of academic and research experience in the field of numerical simulation. Numerical modeling of multiphysical processes has been an on-going activity of his professional evolution.
